Dark Chamber - Pinhole
A pinhole camera is a simple camera without a lens but with a tiny aperture (the so-called pinhole )—effectively a light-proof box with a small hole in one side. Light from a scene passes through the aperture and projects an inverted image on the opposite side of the box, which is known as the 'Camera Obscura effect'. The size of the images depends on the distance between the object and the pinhole and the distance between pinhole and screen.

My Dark Chamber images translate the very essence of real time captured without any need for the latest this or that piece of hardware. I try to capture sentimental anamnesis, to reawaken or restore dormant memories of doubt, despondency and abandonment, that hopefully challenges the viewer and demands the need for an explanation. Pinhole photography allows me to tell stories, to illustrate my past of latent potential missed or achieved, locations long since visited from my childhood, changed by nature and human interference. I truly feel some locations anticipate my return, and I am almost summoned to remember these places, in a way that freshly cut grass can conjure up more than a man mowing a lawn.
