About me
Growing up in the small West Sussex village of Cocking in the 1970s, I was well positioned for an adventurous and exciting childhood. Now some fifty years later I still have the urge to be adventurous and a passion to tell stories, visually, verbally and written. The latter has now been realised with my first published novella 'Blackthorn Hill' My passion continues to grow to find new subject matter to photograph and new stories to write. I'm in no doubt that I will continue my journey which started all those years ago, roaming the hills where the only boundary was my imagination. I am married to Yvonne, we have two grown up children and now live in the beautiful small coastal village of Elmer.
My profesional journey
started in 1989 I enrolled on a 3 year professional photographic course, qualifying in 1992 as a professional photographer. I have worked on many projects over the last 30 years as a camera person, in conventional large and medium format photography, digital and various experimental processes. I have exhibited at several UK galleries including the Millais gallery in Southampton, and have had photographic documentary projects published in the BJP and other photo based magazines. I also teach short course at West Dean college for the Edward James foundation. I continue to enjoy the medium of image capture using what is now regarded as analogue photography, or real film.
